I’ve been growing this plant for a couple of months now and now that it’s grown in to a pretty large plant, it is not what I expected when i bought the mini bonsai kit. ‘Bonsai’ means potted plant. But then again that could mean any plant that has been put into a pot. I bought this anticipating that I would be growing a miniature tree like the ones i see displayed when i type it in google image search. This plant I have is a Hyssop plant. Its a semi- woody plant found in the Mediterraneans and central asia. It’s not even Japanese or miniature since it can grow up to 60cm.
Obviously real miniature trees which the name ‘Bonsai’ was given to is too pricey to put in to a little kit or it would take too long for an actual Miniature tree bonsai to grow so the consumer would end up throwing the pot of soil away in disappointment like i have experienced in other plant kits.
